Shadowridge Value invests private capital in global equities on a long-only basis.

We believe the best opportunity to compound capital consists of investing in public equities on a long-term basis unrestricted by traditional investment mandates such as style boxes, sector exposures, geographies, listing statuses, and/or market capitalizations. The firm conducts fundamental and qualitative investment research employing a bottoms-up strategy. The overall aim is to build a concentrated portfolio of undervalued and durable businesses. We may also occasionally invest in unique or obscure securities as opportunities present themselves.

Shadowridge Value was founded in 2021 by Brett Dorendorf and he serves as the sole Analyst and Portfolio Manager. Prior to founding Shadowridge Value, Brett covered Real Estate, Financial Institutions, and Industrials companies for five years as an Equity Research Associate at Brandes Investment Partners, a global investment management firm with $25 billion in assets under management. He graduated from UC San Diego with a B.A. in Political Science and an emphasis in International Relations. Brett earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2020. He also writes a Substack newsletter with over 1,000 subscribers called Conversion Confidential, which covers the investment opportunity available in thrift conversions.
